Blush Application from Make Up For Ever

One of my good friends (who reads this blog) texted me today to tell me she wore blush for the first time yesterday. She had read the Blush 101 post and decided she’d finally quit skipping blush (like many women do) and commenced her first love affair with NARS Blush in Lovejoy. Her words: “I wore blush to Church yesterday and I looked soooo good! You would have been proud!”

I am proud!!

I came across the following blush application charts while perusing the Make Up For Ever site (by the way, they are one of my FAVORITE brands–such great, innovative products) and I’m passing along the info to you! Find the closest image to your face shape on the chart below. The chart along with the tips I provided in the Blush 101 post will have you sporting a sexy glow by tomorrow ;)

Urban Glamour Quick Tip: Remember to blend! And for a natural “I glow from within” look, finish the blush with a light dusting of loose finishing powder.

What the heck kinda of face do I have? I have no idea really I think it’s more of a ‘Carre’ than an ‘Oval’ but it’s always hard for me to figure out looking at these charts!

Best thing to do is to stand in front of your bathroom mirror with your hair pulled back and trace the outline of your face with lipstick. You may not get an exact shape, but pick the one that looks closest to the outline you get.

Some people have a combination of two different shapes. The main thing is to take note of areas of your face that are wider or more narrow and balance them to look more like the oval (which is considered the ideal face shape).
