NARS Balanced Foundation
You know, there was a time when it was almost impossible to find darker foundations that were both right in shade and undertone. And if you did find your perfect color, chances are you had to stick with that particular brand only because another brand wouldn’t have your exact shade.
But now there are so many options! You all know about my love affair (and break-up) with MAC Select Tint. The recent news of it being possibly discontinued had me in a tizzy looking for a replacement. Since then I’ve found so many alternatives that I don’t know which one to choose!

Anyway, there was a point to all this. I’m also in love with NARS Balanced Foundation! After seeing this NARS video, I decided to give it a try. My shade is Trinidad (which is also the country my family is from) and I got the most luminous un-makeupy look with this foundation! Here’s the lowdown:
Balanced Foundation
What it is:
A sheer foundation that shows off the natural radiance of your skin. What it does:
NARS Balanced Foundation has a lighter feel than most makeup, resulting in a translucent finish that smoothes fine lines and imperfections without appearing heavy on the skin.
What else you need to know:
It’s formulated to leave the skin moisturized and revitalized and to enhance the beauty of the skin instead of just covering it up.
It also comes in an oil-free version. A definite must-try especially if you don’t have problem skin and want a very lightweight foundation.

Hmm, I did not see Trinidad on the site?
I am NW47 maybe I will try Jamaica.
Nevermind.
Should have clicked on the link you provided!
Funny it is not on the Nars site yet!
It is abouttime they came up with new shades. Jamaica has been the Grand Dame for a looong time.
Looks like either New Guinea or Trinidad for me?
For whatever reason, Sephora sells more NARS shade than the actual NARS website does!
I’m NW 47 and Trinidad worked for me
Tortuga came in a close second though.
Cool.
