With Election Day right around the corner, I thought it fitting to do a Style Spotlight on Samantha Fennell, a former Elle magazine associate publisher who left her post at the fashion mag to become a full-time volunteer fundraiser for Democratic Presidential Nominee, Barack Obama. Samantha Fennell says of her decision:

“I have never been so excited, inspired, or motivated by a political candidate in my entire adult life as I am by Senator Obama. I recently decided to dedicate my time and energy between now and the election to the Obama ’08 campaign. Fully committing meant resigning from my job after 15+ years in the ad-sales game, most recently as associate publisher at ELLE. Some might call it a radical sabbatical; I think of it as an idea that turned into a decision that made itself“
