A leader in research and treatment for skin of color, Dr. Susan C. Taylor is a Harvard-trained dermatologist and clinical researcher in ethnic skin care and dermatology. She is board certified in both internal medicine and dermatology. The creator of a variety of products, tools and resources to treat and care for brown skin, she has led advances in the field of skin of color.

In the summer of 2007, Dr. Taylor released a new product line, Dr. Susan Taylor’s Rx for Brown Skin, the first-ever skin care line for women of color scientifically formulated by a dermatologist. For research dermatologists as well as those in clinical practice, she developed “The Taylor Hyperpigmentation Scale,” a cost-efficient and effective method of monitoring the improvement of hyperpigmentation.

Her product line contains products made to help keep brown skin (by “brown skin” she means African-American, Latina, Asian, South Asian, and Middle Eastern skins) look its best. Whether your issue is uneven skin tone, acne, or sensitivity, there’s a product within the Rx for Brown Skin line just for you!

I personally have used the Bright and Even Exfoliating Cleanser and the Bright and Even Exfoliating Moisturizer and have loved the results. I especially love how the Bright and Even Exfoliating Moisturizer makes my skin feel supple and moisturized without feeling greasy. So imagine my excitement when I saw that not only was Rx for Brown Skin following me on Twitter, but they also have a You Tube channel!

The video was extremely helpful in understanding hyper pigmentation. Where do you normally purchase this product? And what is the price range? It’s worth giving it a try.
