Absolutely NOT! With makeup, practice makes perfect. Most people practice their makeup on themselves. If a person cannot master her own face–a face that she sees and feels every day– the chance of having any sort of success on my own face during our one encounter is slim to none. Also, with makeup artists (especially those who work at counters), your face is like a billboard ad for your abilities and your product. When I get my makeup done, I always look for the MUA with the best makeup . . . 9 out of 10 times it’s successful.
