Beauty Steal: Suave Vibrant Shine Conditioner

suave vibrant shine

I admit it. Some time after I graduated college in 2003 to about a month ago I was a hair product snob. I would try all kinds of expensive treatments just to get my hair to shine to its maximum. But a $30 container of conditioner every now and then adds up and as I continued to upgrade the quality of products, it was only but a moment in time before I was putting liquid gold in my hair.

Now I’m a lot more low-key with my hair. I conditioner-wash daily so buying expensive conditioners every week would put me directly in the poor house. Good thing I’ve recently become addicted to Walmart. Now for those of you who live outside of NYC, Walmart is a given, but for me since I have to plot trips to Long Island to get to one, it’s a treat. It also makes me steam up with anger at how much I’ve overpaid on goods over the years. *sigh*

Anyway, while on a recent trip I picked up Suave Vibrant Shine Conditioner (for normal to dry hair). If someone would have told me ten years ago to try Suave products on my dry, chemically relaxed hair, I would have looked at them as if they asked me to put acid on my tresses. I just never deemed Suave as being suitable for my type of hair. But I decided to give it a whirl and I am very shocked and pleased with the results. My roots (which are a few weeks shy of needing a touch-up) felt sooo smooth and soft. And the best thing about this is that the conditioner was only $1.82!

If you haven’t already, check out the Suave line of hair products. They have products for almost every hair type imaginable so I’m pretty sure you can find something there you like. And if not, hey what’s $1.82 for trying?
