Eye Makeup Looks: Close Set Eyes

Finding eye makeup inspiration from your favorite celebs can be futile unless your fav celeb has the same eye shape as you. I’ve scanned the internet for images and have grouped them together so you have a source for eye makeup looks for your eye shape.

You’ll know you have close set eyes if there is less than one eye’s width in between both eyes. You can find additional tips on makeup for this eye shape at Eye Makeup Looks: Brown and Purple and All About Eyes Part 2.

Ginnifer Goodwin is a great close-set eyed beauty who plays around with many different eyeshadow combinations. Check out some of her gorgeous eye makeup looks.

P.S. Don’t focus so much on Ginnifer’s complexion but more on her eye shape as inspiration. These eye makeup looks will look great on all skin tones with close-set eyes. Also, with just these few pictures you can get an idea of where you should place certain colors on close-set eyes and create dozens of additional eye looks!

Quick Close Set Eye tips:
1. Create some space in between the brows to help balance out the eyes. Don’t go overboard–check out Get Beautiful Brows for eyebrow tips.
2. Never “close” your eyeliner in the inner corners of the eyes when using dark liner. This will make the eyes appear even more close set. Instead, use light colors in the inner corners of the eyes to create some visual space.

Great tips! I have close-set eyes and ‘it’s always so hard to find the right look to make it work for me. This really helped, thanks again

Eyes that are considered evenly spaced are generally one eye length apart (this is also a general rule in art when looking a proportions in the face) from each other; close set eyes are less and of course wide set eyes are more than one eye length apart. While her eyes are not extremely close set if you measure from the outer corner to the inner corner of her eye it is slightly larger than the space between the two of them.
