Monavé Minerals Heather Dark Mineral Powder

monave

This past spring I told you about the goodness that are Monavé Mineral foundations and their Oil Control Humectant. After feeling “left out” by other mineral makeup companies that just didn’t get my shade right, I was excited when Monavé sent over some samples and one of them matched my skin perfectly (I’m MAC NW47, their ‘Brenda’ shade is my color).

So the other day Monavé sent over some fall samples for me to try out. I love their Mineral Powder in #109 Heather Dark. It’s a gorgeous dark navy with purple shimmer that would look great on almost any skin tone. The Mineral Powders are totally multitasking—use them as an eyeshadow, a liner, blush (certain colors) or even mix them in your mascara. For the beauty on a budget or short on time, multitasking items are heaven-sent. I wish I could get a good picture of how beautiful #109 Heather Dark looks, but I spazzed on my camera settings and it didn’t photograph true to color. My only gripe is that a Clumsy Cathy like me has spilled some of the minerals out of their container since I’m so used to using pressed shadows. I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it, but think of all that great product being wasted on my bathroom floor.

Anyway, I want to share some of this goodness with you, so a few lucky readers will have a chance to also try out some of Monavé’s mineral products. Simply contact me with your full name and address and I’ll send you some (while supplies last).

Even if you don’t win a sample, definitely check out their selection of mineral makeup. It’s super affordable and you can get packs of samples at a great price.
