Cover Girl LashBlast Length Mascara
Determined to really corner the market on mass produced mascara, CoverGirl launched their newest LashBlast Length Mascara this past fall. I of course quickly jumped on the bandwagon and bought one several months AFTER it’s launch (hey, beauty don’t come easy, ya know?). Anyway, I actually intended on trying the entire Blast Collection since its ads have been peaking at me in every major fashion magazine I read this month, but the Walmart near me only had the mascaras. So here’s my take:
I actually really like CoverGirl mascaras–they’re a good value product for such a good price (usually around $5 at Walmart). The power in CoverGirl mascaras lies in the state-of-the-art brush which is the same with LashBlast Length especially since it features CoverGirl’s longest brush to date. I love that it’s virtually impossible to get clumpy lashes with LashBlast Length and it actually does lengthen the lashes (not Jennifer Lopez length, but you get some length). Wish I could say the same for its volumizing properties (although you’ll get some volume if you wiggle the wand from the base of your lashes to the tips), but this mascara isn’t geared towards volume, so I guess I’ll cut them some slack. Don’t get me wrong, this mascara may be the bee’s knees for those of you who crave longer lashes at a shorter price, but if it’s volume you want, go for its cousin Volume Exact.
