What I Bought This Weekend

I didn’t get to do too much this weekend because my body decided it didn’t want to wake up until 2PM on Saturday. I normally like to get up no later than 8 AM on the weekends so I can savor every second but I guess my body had other plans…lol. Either way, I still managed to get out to my retail havens and snagged some goodies. A very light shopping trip, but still fun.

I headed over to my local Sephora because since I played around with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Ransom a couple of times and even “used” it in this Nia Long beauty breakdown, I knew I had to have it. Ransom is a bright iridescent purple that seriously works on every skin tone. I like to use it for a little pop of color on my bottom waterline. It wears like nobody’s business, too. Worth every single penny. I also decided to pick it up in Underground but though it’s a pretty metallic taupe, I’m not sure I’d wear it often and I already have MAC Pigment in my kit for a similar look. It may not get to stay here…lol. I may exchange it for Too Face’s Glamour Gloss in Dare Me. I had it in my little Sephora basket to buy, but put it back because I didn’t want my grand total to be over $30. Hey, I have to set limits.

And I must have been on a colored eyeliner kick, because I also picked up Sephora Nano Liner in #10 Kaki Green, a gorgeous green gold. It looks great on the bottom waterline and gives my everyday day job looks a nice kick without being too much for my conservative office. I got these at a Sephora in JCPenney for $4, but they’re $5 online and at regular Sephoras. Glad I got to save $1! They’re super tiny though so I guess $4/$5 is priced right in scale to the bigger $15 pencils. I also picked up the #2 Glitter Black but I haven’t even opened it yet…lol.

Then I dropped by LUSH to get the Sole Survival Foot Kit I mentioned last week. I’ve had such little time this weekend that this poor thing is still sitting in the bag I brought it home in. I’ll give it a proper review when time permits. I also restocked on the Coalface Cleanser.

That was me this weekend. What did you do/buy?

While doing a little spring/summer cleaning, I found a LUSH gift card someone stuck into another gift that I hadn’t had the chance to use yet. Pleasant surprise, especially after you had been talking about their products lately. Based on your blog about the Coalface cleanser (I have oily skin) I made a visit to LUSH a top priority for the weekend to see what all the fuss was about. Loved the store! I will definitely be adding that to my rotation. We must have been on the same wavelength because in addition to the Coalface, I got the Sole Survival foot kit, not even realizing you did a blog on that as well. Thanks for the tip!

How cool is that about finding the gift card! Let me know what you think about the Coalface Cleanser–as you can tell I love it! The Sole Survival Kit is gonna get broken in something serious pretty soon after the hectic day I’ve been having…lol.
