Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer: Out, Damned Spot. Out, I Say!

A couple of weeks ago, I made my usual rounds through the beauty department and while perusing the Estee Lauder counter saw a new (or new to me) shade in the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer ($22)–Extra Deep and decided it needed to come home with me.

The color is perfect for concealing my dark spots (from color theory honey based colors are perfect to conceal dark/purple discoloration on dark skin like mine) and the formula is so creamy and like the name suggests, gives us a flawless finish. I use my trusty MAC #188 brush to blend it under my eyes (for slight brightening) and on my spots (for concealing). And you know what, eight hours in and my concealer still stays put.

In fact, glancing over the other shades, they all seem to have the right undertone (salmon for the lighter colors, light honey for medium-tan shades) for concealing things like troublesome dark circles.

Bottom line: Definitely worth a try especially if your current concealer tends to travel throughout the day.
