The Style and Beauty Doctor NYFW Reporter: Farah Angsana Fall 2012 Recap

The Style and Beauty Doctor NYFW Reporter Candace Amos was on the scene for us again, this time at the Farah Angsara fall 2012 show. Here’s her recap…

When Danielle offered me the not-so-tough task of covering Farah Angsana’s Fall 2012 show, I quietly let out a squeal of excitement. I attended one of her elaborate shows a few years ago during New York Fashion Week, so I know this one would up the ante. Sitting in an audience of mesmerized onlookers felt like watching the long awaited sequel to my favorite movie. The show presented pieces for which Farah called in her show book, “a collection for global travelers with high glamour and culture, that appreciate the fine detailing in luxury“.

Luxury it was! Style.com reports that these intricate gowns cost $3,000 a pop. Much too rich for my taste, but they were a beauty to look at. Farah featured gowns with sequined embellished bodices, lace detailing, and bright colors that ran the gamut of spectrums–all made for high society living. The crowd pleaser that closed out the show was a blue lace, see-though number that you would have to dare me to wear in public. The crowd ooh’d and aahh’d when this baby came strutting down the runway. It was quintessetially Farah.
