The Style and Beauty Doctor NYFW Reporter: Naeem Khan Fall 2012 Recap

Since I’m still in Vegas, I recruited some fabulous The Style and Beauty Doctor Reporters to sit in for me at a few shows. The lovely Dominique was one because I love her fresh take on fashion plus she’s an image consultant like me.

Here’s her recap…

The crowd eagerly waiting outside of the theatre in Lincoln Center was full of socialites, society women, industry big wigs and oh yeah, me! I was assigned to the standing section, however, as soon as I walked in I embarked on “mission get a better seat”. An accurate report was certainly in order so I strutted my way down to the second row, sat down, and totally acted like I was supposed to be there! Let me just say, it was so worth it.

From the second row I found myself up close and personal with the genius that is Naeem Khan. He gets what makes a women feel pretty, luxurious, and sexy. Each piece screamed of uniqueness with amazing bead work and embroidery technique. The shiny black, white, silver and gold metallic color palette came together like a perfectly crafted painting. Khan paid attention to the the sensual curves of the female silhouette by bringing in the waist with ultra cute bow finished sashes and beaded belts. The Indian inspiration definitely shined throughout this collection. I predict that there will be a fight to the death between the stars to snag a look or two for the upcoming Oscar awards ceremony. Naeem Khan definitely has a special effect on the stars as some rather big names showed up to view his show.

Padma Lakshmi, Matt Damon, Kristin Chenoweth, and Ahna O’Reilly were all in attendance. Of course it was hard to snag a picture of them (as I could only attempt one big mission at a time), but I did manage to run into Taylor Jacobson as I was pretending to check my phone just outside of the venue.

All in all I absolutely loved the show, not only were the clothes gorgeous but Naeem Khan had the most diverse group of models I’ve seen at any of the shows so far. Loves it!

What do you guys think, are you impressed?
