BECCA Cosmetics, aka my long time foundation love, is like bursting at the seems this year with new product launches. The Australian brand who has one of the most extensive shade ranges for foundations, concealers, and powders I’ve ever come across (and that I’ve talked about here for YEARS) not only brought us recent gems like Mineral Blush in Songbird, but also a line of seven glossy glosses aptly title Ultimate Colour Gloss ($24).

Formulated with antioxidant vitamin E to nourish and hydrate lips, these glosses (sent to me by the brand’s PR for review consideration) manage to be extremely shiny, long-lasting, pack a punch of color, and it’s mind-boggling how UN-sticky they are.

These are the type of glosses you wear when you want a little more than the typical sheer hint of color you get with most glosses, but definitely less opacity than a cream gloss or lipstick. I’m not a big fan of lip gloss (OK, you could actually say I don’t like them at all since I haven’t worn gloss regularly in YEARS), but even I have to say these are decent even though I wouldn’t wear them (that makes sense, right?) Though I have to say with matte finish foundation and blush, Ultimate Colour Gloss would make for a gorgeous contrasting addition. Very high fashion. Very Erin Fetherston (pictured below).

You call these ill-placed swatches, I call it pop-art.
