What’s Going in My Makeup Bag for My Trip to Poland

Sounds random, but I’m leaving for Poland in just a few hours after this post publishes. I’ll be attending a cosmetics conference in Warsaw so make sure you follow me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for updates :)

So since I have a nine hour flight and it’s about 20 degrees cooler in Warsaw than NYC, I have to be a little strategic about what I bring (although I may just wind up throwing a bunch of stuff in my suitcase, shaking it up, and hope for the best like I normally do).

As for clothes, I’m a little psyched that since it can get to 50 degrees at night, I can finally start breaking out my leather and sweaters so I’ll be bringing my motorcycle jackets from H&M (one black, one brown), an Express blazer, a few graphic tees, a pair of brown cowboy boots I got from Macy’s, my black studded boots from Victoria’s Secret, my leopard print Miu Miu heels, a few sweaters, my camo pants, and my Current/Elliott leopard print jeans (provided they can fit over my rapidly widening PMS-ing body o_O). I’ll also throw in a dress for good measure—just in case. Oh and a snood in case it’s really, really cold at night.

Sleek MakeUP Face Form in Medium (review coming soon—though I want to also see the dark)

As for beauty products, I’m taking:

During NYFW Birchbox had a Sample Stop for members of the press to come in and make their own box. I don’t subscribe t any box services since I tend to get products sent to me every now and then for review consideration as a blogger, but it was pretty fun filling up my own Birchbox. Plus it comes in handy for travel-size products. So from my box, I’m taking:

Benefit They’re Real Mascara, the balm Mary-Lou Manizer, boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens, Nexxus Color Assure Conditioner, Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo, Caudalie Eye and Lip Cream, Cargo Lash Activator, Per-fekt Skin Perfection Gel, and a beautyblender.

Skin:
Bare Minerals Deep Cleansing Foam: I’m on my third tube of this—it’s my current go-to.
Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer (I’ll also carry my Patyka Absolis Tea Tree Face Cream just in case the weather flips on me)
Glytone Antioxidant Night Creme (just got this from the brand’s PR and so far, so good)
Repechage Eye Rescue Pads: A nine hour flight and a six hour time difference will NOT be getting the best of my eyes.
Supergoop! Everyday UV Lotion: I like this because it doesn’t leave an ashy film on my skin.

Make Up For Ever Black Tango Palette

Makeup:
Sleek MakeUP BB Cream: Seriously, you MUST read my review on this—it’s the only BB cream I love because it matches my complexion to a tee and provides a fuller coverage than your average BB.
YSL Limited Edition Dare to Glow Silky Highlighting Veil: I know what you’re thinking, and YES I do have 50 million highlighter products, but I just HAD to have this one, too…lol.
Mally Beauty Perfect Prep Primer: Much like an Amex, I can’t leave home without this. Hands down one of my favorite primers ever.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush in Naughty and The Siren: I haven’t shown these two bold shades any love as of late, so these are coming along for the ride.
Make Up For Ever Black Tango Palette: I picked up this limited edition Aqua Cream palette because the colors are SO perfect for a smoky eye and great for a pop of color on the waterline.
Make Up For Ever Duo Mat: To set my makeup and to keep shine at bay throughout the day.

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick: I’ve been obsessed with these since the brand gave them to me at a recent event. Icon, a matte blue-red will likely be the only color I wear on my trip.
Sleek MakeUP Face Form: I just got this in the mail yesterday from the brand’s PR, but definitely have to bring it along. In one compact you get contour, highlight, and a bronzer shade. It comes in four shades: fair, light, medium, and dark and should be on the Sleek MakeUP website pretty soon.

OK—let me finish packing before I miss my flight…lol. Follow along with me on my trip via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook :)
