What I Bought During After Holiday Sales

dolce and gabbana mesh booties

OK…I’m still on my self-imposed mini-hiatus slash vacation, but I had to come back and share because I LOVE this time of year. I seriously love fall/winter clothing more than anything and since SO much of it is marked down so drastically after the holidays, I have a pretty hard time saying “no” to anything. So right after I watched my niece and nephews open up their Christmas gifts, I headed straight to the computer and typed in “SAKS.COM” because they had a ridiculous sale (up to 70% off) starting Christmas Eve. Remember high end department stores were on the list of fab places for fashion finds list? Well, yeah!

But before we get into Saks, let’s go back a few days before Christmas when I hit submit on those Dolce & Gabbana mesh booties you see pictured above (on sale for about 55% off the retail price) I had been DROOLING over at theoutnet.com for like forever. It was giving me a heart attack because the site only had ONE pair left in my size and I kept swearing someone would buy them and that made me have anxiety even though I don’t *need* mesh booties. I mean, it’s winter. BUT THEY’RE SO CUTE. ARGHHHHHH.

OK…so now back to Saks…

At Saks I had to contain myself and also almost crashed my browser because I opened so many new tabs…lol. I got these Alexander Wang booties I had my eye on for a while on sale for $200 (they were originally $585). I decided I needed to snag because I had my eyes on the Shelly boots last spring and missed out when they went on sale for $200 as well. I’m hoping I can pull off the sheer mesh in the front…lol.

I also snagged Thakoon Addition and 10 Crosby Street Derek Lam cream sweaters at significant discounts (I want to say about 60% off each). And because I still have a soft spot in my heart for Marc by Marc Jacobs, I picked up a super cute pink multi nylon shopper bag. It’s perfect for just throwing a bunch of stuff inside when I have to run errands. I couldn’t resist the super cute DVF flats because as much I LOVE heels, I tend to wear flats the most since I’m always walking about somewhere and I need to be able to walk at my maximum speed without limitations (shoot, you never know when the stranger will come to get you).

zara red studded booties

And a few days before that, THEE second the Zara sale prices were reflecting on Zara.com (thanks Fashionista Next Door for texting me the alert), I scrambled on the site and got to browsing. I only bought one pair of boots, these red studded booties on sale for $79 from I believe $169. I always find Zara’s shoes to be so freaking cute but I don’t pay too much attention to them since they rarely have size 41 in store and then I would try to stay off the Zara.com website for as long as I could because there’s SO much temptation there (besides I bought two pairs of shoes from them recently—one of which were a pair of cobalt blue Celiné-inspired wedge pumps that I LOVE yet have yet to wear…lol.)

Then because I saw someone with red leopard jeans (I own two pairs of their jeans and they fit SO well and come in sizes 25 to 36), I decided I wanted a pair so I went on JustFab.com and bought these:

I had some credits in my account, so I got them for FREE along with the Game Changer bag. *does the Cabbage Patch*

h&m men's blue leopard hat

Then because I want to add more sporty elements to my wardrobe and overall look, I picked up this blue leopard cap from the men’s section at H&M (another place that made it to my fab places for fashion finds list) along with an oversized sweatshirt (not pictured) and I saw some cute T by Alexander Wang-esque “dressy” sweatpants at H&M but I was with my niece who kinda punked me out of buying them—why I listened to her is beyond me–what do 18 year olds know???? lol)

And I believe that’s it. OH–look at these SUPER cool Leather and Chain Dogleash Bracelet my niece got me from Coach:

It’s SOOOO me! She also got me another plain one with a turnlock which is also very me. I just LOVE this time of year!!! lol

And since we’re on the subject of Coach—I’m loving the current lineup! I have to say I fell out of love with the brand when it felt like EVERYTHING was logo’d down, but I’m now a new fan again. In fact I NEED this Legacy Perforated Leather Penny Shoulder Bag because it’s navy, the perforation is SO cool, and will you check out that splash of lime? If my bank hasn’t yet seized my funds, I’m getting it.
