Let’s Talk Tuesday: Are You Ready For Four More Years of President Obama?

Barack Obama Sworn In As U.S. President For A Second Term

Yesterday history was made as our 44th president, Barack Obama was once again sworn in. However it wasn’t the mere fact that the president was being sworn in for another four years that made the moment historic. It was the fact that our first African-American president was beginning his second term in office on the birthday of civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King. Talk about reaching the mountaintop, huh!

For days I prayed that it would snow or at least get super cold so that our First Family would have to wear their winter best. Needless to say they didn’t disappoint. The good-looking family wow’d us with not only their superb fashion sense but also with their incredible relationship as a family. I love them as a family unit. That alone makes me ready for another four years of Obama!

However it was the speech the president gave that really sealed the deal for me. President Obama touched on key issues that he plans on working on during his term, such as gun control, education for our youth, and even gay rights. When have you ever heard of a sitting president who plans on taking gun control and gay rights head on! The fact that we have one of the most progressive and relatable presidents ever has me really excited for future of this country and my place in it.

What do you think? Are you ready for four more years of President Obama? What issues are you looking forward to him tackling during his term? Tell us in the comments below!

I can handle four more years of Obama. It’s the haters that can’t.
