Mario Badescu Herbal Hydrating Serum and Why Autumn Loves It

MArio Badescu Serum

Even though there are a ton of brands and formulas for a variety of different skin types, finding the perfect skincare routine can be confusing and overwhelming. A lot of times adding one product could make all the difference in your routine. Mario Badescu’s Herbal Hydrating Serum (sent for review from the brand’s PR) could be the product you’re missing.

My skin is SUPER sensitive (I develop a rash if you look at me the wrong way smh) so I’m usually hesitant to try new skincare products. I tend to break out from creams more than anything else so the serum’s gel-like texture made me less weary about trying it.

The 1 oz. bottle retails for $30 but a little bit goes a LONG way. It’s also great for travel, it was so easy to toss it in my makeup bag, I appreciated not having to haul my whole skincare regime halfway across the country for a weekend getaway.

The beauty of this serum lies in the fact that it can be worn alone or over another moisturizer. I love that it can be used year round; it’s light enough for summer and adds extra protection and hydration during the colder months. The light texture and easy absorption make it a great fit for oily skin. If you have dry skin you can use it to add an extra boost to your moisturizer. I used it over my normal moisturizer during the day since the cold wind and indoor heating was drying my skin out. I could definitely feel the difference, my pores didn’t feel clogged either. Remember that it doesn’t have SPF so use it with sunscreen or a moisturizer with SPF.

The serum’s versatility makes it a good investment if you’re looking to get more out of your favorite skincare products. Get Mario Badescu products at Nordstrom, Ulta, Lord & Taylor, Henri Bendel, blue mercury, and mariobadescu.com.

Do you have a product you’d consider the “secret weapon” in your beauty routine?

I like Serums and I’ve always used them in the mornings instead of a normal moisturizer because Serums don’t leave my skin oily. I’ve been using Erno Laszio Transphuse Day Serum for the last year, it’s discontinued and replaced with a more universal serum for day and night, luckily I have a backup.
