Some of My FAVORITE Nude Lipsticks for Dark Skin

nude lip colors on dark skin

So after my mom “outed” me for looking like I had Botox in my last nude lip post (I had to explain to her that 50 Shades of Lipstick is a guide and I may wear colors I don’t like just to show a variety of shades…lol), I figured it’d be a good idea anyway to say which of the lip colors in the series are my favorite colors. I had changed my personal profile pic on Facebook and my mom left a comment asking if the color I was wearing was a nude and said she loved it (it was MAC Touch Lipstick) so you can say she also inspired this post…lol. I’ll do this for other color families as well—which would be great because since I’m in Trinidad (CARNIVAL) and then Barbados for a bit I can still update yet still be on a break…lol.

You can view the original nude lipstick posts here and here.

So here’s my favorite nudes in no particular order:

After months of drugstore shopping I finally got my hands on Milani Teddy Bare lipstick. It’s ALWAYS sold out at like every store in my area. I almost grabbed 2 when I finally found it because the swatches looked so pretty lol. I still haven’t tried it yet but judging by how it looks on you, I’m going to love it. Next on my list is that Lancome lipstick!

      Hey Fancie!

Ugh—yeah that’s the tricky thing about drugstore makeup that frustrates me. I want to be able to waltz in any store and get what I want but some stores don’t sell full brand lines or some things are exclusive to certain drugstore chains and then with my neighborhood some things get here SO late after they launch. But glad you finally got your hands on it! The Lancome lipstick should be much easier to find…lol.

    Hi Danielle!

I appreciate your website and the advice you’ve given. I especially needed the help in choosing a nude lipstick for dark skin.

Your website is professional looking and I’m impressed with your pictures. What advice could you give for someone researching starting a website? Pictures are so important to me because I’m a “visual” person.

Thank you for your time and effort in this matter.

    Sincerely,

    Deidre Hopkins
