To know me is to know I’m a blush fiend. Typically when I’m trying a new brand, the first thing I go for is the blush. I can’t help it! Blush is totally a must because it can help 1. complete your makeup look 2. can help add dimension to your face 3. can make you look more alert and fresh and 4. it’s pretty. DUH.
My latest blush trial is Jay Manuel Beauty Soft Focus Powder Blush and I’m happy to report it’s amazing! The packaging can seem a little bulky but I didn’t mind much because I didn’t need to fit it into a small makeup bag. Pigmentation is awesome—you don’t need to do much to get the shades to show up (though I can only speak for the shades I received for review: Trinity and Bella) and I’m also happy to report that they last long as well. I put my makeup on at around 9 A.M., had a photo and video shoot from like 11-3, added a little more blush around 1 only because on-camera makeup sometimes needs a little more to show up, then I went on about the day (it was HOT), and even went to the hair salon and by the time I got home around 10:45 P.M., that blush was STILL going strong.

Jay Manuel Beauty sent over shades…
Trinity: a bold berry with slight gold shimmer. I love that the shimmer is very slight—this is an otherwise matte blush with very subtle shimmer. It’s the type of shade that looks amazing on virtually every skin tone—for lighter skin go easy with it and powder down if you do too much and for darker skin it’s gorgeous as it is (don’t be scared of brighter blush colors—they look best on dark skin).
Bella: a bold matte coral. This is a universally flattering shade that gives an amazing flush to all skin tones.

Bottom line: Packaging is a little bulky but not a deal breaker for me. The two shades I received were amazing in quality and performance.
