Blogs like this one have made the buying process that much easier with makeup swatches on dark skin and reviews, and now blogger and business woman Ofunne Amaka has created an app I’m sure you’ll love. After creating the highly successful site and Instagram account ‘cocaswatches’, dedicated to showing makeup swatches on various skin tones, Amaka decided an app was the next route to go.
With the accessible mobile tool, now available on iOS and Android, you can scroll through a plethora of brand-new makeup launches and old favorites on different skin tones to match you perfectly with your shade before purchasing it. Not only are you saving money, but it’s nice to see an app that focuses on the diversified side of makeup that not many brands acknowledge.
The purpose of the app is to improve the shopping experience for women of color and help them make well-informed decisions regarding makeup. Amaka has also been great at building relationships with beauty experts and bloggers and you get that camaraderie in a tab called “Cocoa Pick.” This section features different beauty connoisseur’s current favorites – check out Danielle’s below!
