Ole Henriksen Launches a NEW Uber Brightening Facial Treatment

Often times at press events you go in, get greeted by the PR staff, maybe grab a splash or two along with some light bites, someone talks you through the new launch, you try it out, grab another splash and bite, then head out. Once in a while you get to meet someone important from the brand—but often times it’s more like they address the group—which is totally understandable—schedules fluctuate and sometimes folks can’t be everywhere at the same time. Thankfully yesterday things were aligned and not only did I get to meet Ole Henriksen himself, but we Snapchatted, talked about Vitamin C and his new launch one-on-one, AND did a photo booth picture together (see below). Had I not already known that other bloggers and editors were able to experience the same thing, I would SWEAR Ole and I are BFFs and that he only liked me out of everyone else…lol. That’s super impressive.

And when I tell you Ole Henriksen is a gorgeous man, Ole Henriksen is a gorgeous man! After I got one of the most amazing mini-massages I’ve had in life (yo, seriously I was about to ask the masseuse out for dinner…lol) Ole smiled brightly, complimented my skin (yasss) and then brought me over to the facial area to chat about the new Ole Henriksen Power | bright 25% Vitamin C Intensive Treatment System.

Official details:

The Ole Henriksen Power | bright 25% Vitamin C Intensive Treatment System is the newest addition to the POWER | peel treatment collection, and created to deliver instant, dramatic results in 3 simple steps. Featuring a concentrated dose of skin-brightening Vitamin C, this system helps even skin tone and diminsh the look of fine lines & environmental photo-damage while neutralizing free radicals. Each step works in harmony to deeply nourish and bring radiance to dull complexions with a combination of botanicals, essential fatty acids and brightening extracts. Skin is left re-energized and glowing with youthful luminosity after just one use.

The THREE Steps to Nourished, Radiant Skin:
1. TRUTH SUGAR GLOW POLISHING MASK–skin polishing
2. RADIANT TRUTH 25% VITAMIN C INTENSIVE TREATMENT–brightening and radiance boosting
3. PURE TRUTH MELTING CLEANSER–nourishing and cleansing

Key Ingredients:
* Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask: sugar, honey, pomegranate seeds and citrus extracts polish, purify, and smooth the skin

* Radiant Truth 25% Vitamin C Intensive Treatment: ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), moringa seed, and turmeric root brighten and diminsh the signs of tired, aging skin

* Pure Truth Melting Cleanser: vitamin C, and virgin cherry and rose hip seed oils melt impurities while nourishing and cleansing skin

Ole Henriksen Power | bright 25% Vitamin C Intensive Treatment System is complete with 6 treatments and 2 complexion sponges and is available for $55 in July 2016 at Sephora and Sephora.com.

Vitamin C and I are homies—I’ve been using the Perricone Vitamin C Ester Serum in my routine and have LOVED the results on my skin. It’ll be a while before I can try this (currently going through some other skincare product trials and I’d rather wait until my skin really NEEDS this treatment—I mean, I COULD use it before then but I want to wait…lol) so I’ll keep you updated down the line. When I spoke to Ole about the treatment and if it’s safe to use something like this during the summer (we’ll talk more about summer skincare soon—but there’s certain things you want to limit the use of during summer since you’ll typically be out in the sun longer than usual) and he said the percentage of Vitamin C used in the treatment won’t make you more photosensitive (more sensitive to the sun) and that it actually helps to neutralize.

But as always with any new skincare treatment, you should do a patch test first if you’re worried about any possible side effects. Also, you already should be wearing sunscreen daily but it’s even more important to use it in conjunction with any brightening regimen because you don’t want to undo all that radiance or even further darken any dark spots. See a ton of non-ashy sunscreen reviews here.
