LORAC Pro recently launched their first-ever liquid lipstick and sent over five of the 10-shade range over to yours truly for review consideration.

LORAC Pro Liquid Lipstick official info:

Go PRO with LORAC PRO Liquid Lipstick! With the smooth glide of a gloss and the high pigment of a lipstick, this creamy, lightweight, and long-lasting PRO formula coats the lips in bold color that dries down to a comfortable matte finish. The pointed applicator delivers precise, full coverage that lasts without bleeding or transferring. PRO Liquid Lipstick comes in an array of modern, matte shades from natural nudes to vibrant hues and is infused with antioxidants such as Acai Berry, Pomegranate, Grape Seed Extract, and Vitamins C and E. Color, line, and define your lips, just like a PRO!

These are super-pigmented, long-lasting, and feel like virtually nothing is on your lips. I did just get over a cold so my lips have been feeling much drier than they usually do so my lips did feel dry after wearing these for about 5 hours or so. I’d have to blame that on me just being sick—I bet once I’m back to normal they won’t feel as dry after hours of wear. But one thing I do when my lips need extra hydration but I don’t want to alter the finish of a matte lip color is right before I put on my makeup I apply a lip oil or balm (or even just plain ole Chapstick) and allow it to “sit” while I finish doing all my other makeup and my hair. Then right before I apply my matte lip color, I remove the excess lip balm or oil. Boom! Hydration without altering the matte-ness.

If you’ve been with me for a while (and I hope you have!), you’ll know I’m not a fan of light “nude” lip color and light “nude” mattes are even further down the list…lol. Yes, I know you can add a brown liner to it so it looks better but I am NOT in the business of buying a color that needs to be doctored right off the bat. Nope. I of course mix tons of my lip colors together all the time to create new shades, but these are colors that already look good all on their own. I ain’t knocking light “nudes,” so obviously if you like them, rock on—I’m not shaming you. I’m just not a fan of them for me. BUT I will say that I actually liked the Nude Rose shade…lol. My favorite out of the five I was given is Berry Red—it’s a gorgeous pinky red that will look good on just about everyone.

I did swatches via video, so check it out below and make sure you SUBSCRIBE to my Youtube channel!

LORAC Pro Liquid Lipstick Swatches on Dark Skin:

Bottom line: LORAC Pro Liquid Lipstick is a nice, super-pigmented and long-lasting liquid lipstick, but you may already have similar shades in your stash. If my arm was twisted, I’d skip getting these and put the money towards it for one of the LORAC Pro eyeshadow palettes (I just reviewed the rose gold here).

Price and where to buy: $19 each exclusively at Kohl’s.
