Wear this to Work Tomorrow: Adding Trend & Edge to Your Work Look

bell sleeve off shoulder top for work outfit

Happy Wear to Work Wednesday, ya’ll!

One of my biggest style rules is to make sure each piece can be worn a gazillion ways with other pieces in my wardrobe. Now while I may no longer have a corporate wardrobe, I still have that love of mixing and can fondly remember how challenging it can be to dress one way for the office and a totally different way on the weekends. One of the best ways to get more mileage out of your trendier and edgier pieces is to mix them in with your work staples.

The ruffled blouse whether off-the-shoulder, one-shoulder, or cold-shoulder is a pretty huge trend right now. While having your shoulders exposed may not be part of your company dress code, you CAN sneak it in by popping a blazer or cardigan over it. Another way to add some edge to your work look especially on days when it’s a little chilly out (but a full-on coat isn’t required) is to layer a biker jacket over your look. You of course wouldn’t wear the jacket in the office (unless the AC is on full blast), but it’s a cool layering piece to take you to and from the job.

This is a super cute combination! I love how you added the leather jacket for a little edge and flair. I would definitely wear this!
