What I Bought from the Sephora VIB Sale

sephora vib sale haul

New TSABD Edit posts—which I post on Tuesdays—are coming soon, I promise. But let’s talk about what I got from the Sephora VIB sale.

If you read my What I’m Buying from the Sephora VIB Sale post, most of this is not a surprise. That post will also explain why my “haul” is much smaller than previous years as well as specific shade names of what I got. So if you’re looking for more info, check out that post.

I wound up not getting Trophy Wife because 1. the store I went to didn’t have it in stock and 2. I actually reasoned with myself that I really didn’t need another highlighter even though it also makes for a pretty eyeshadow from what I’ve seen…lol. I also wound up buying two Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencils in Perversion (see my review here) even though I’m supposed to be looking for a good inky black and waterproof pencil dupe, but haven’t just yet. There is one that a rep at MAC showed me that might be pretty close but I had already bought the UD ones.

I also wound up buying Cover FX Custom Cover Drops in N110 (I originally reviewed them here and see more posts on them here). I love these because you can mix them with your skincare and pretty much create your own coverage and finish. Lately I’ve been mixing them with either the Paula’s Choice SPF Primer or Estee Lauder The Illuminator primer. A little while back MAC sent me a press package that included their #140SH brush and I love using that to apply the Custom Cover Drops mix as it gives me a gorgeous “my skin but better” airbrushed look. More posts and a video on that will follow later, so stay tuned.

And speaking of MAC, since I had a gift card, I slid in there, too. I wanted to check out the new Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour Metallic lippies, but apparently they’re only sold online (at least for now—they may come to stores, I don’t have the tea) and wound up getting a new empty eyeshadow palette (I want to do some resorting of the MAC shadows I already own), Face and Body Foundation in N9 (which I bought after chatting up the rep and asking her what she was wearing and likes), a sample of Pro Longwear Concealer in NW45 (which I’ve tried before and like, but the rep gave it to me because she said she likes to mix it with the Face & Body for more coverage), and #137 brush which I bought because the rep said she loves it to apply highlighter and blush for a airbrushed finish. I’ll keep you posted on how I wind up liking everything—make sure you’re subscribed to the blog so you don’t miss out.

    Hey Danielle!
I wound up getting another Pat McGrath Labs lipstick (Unnatural Natural), Huda Beauty Lip Strobe (Fearless), UD Primer Potion (Caffeine), Drunk Elephant’s Hit or Miss Duo, Colorpop E/S (Revolution), Stila’s Glitter & Glow Liquid E/S (Into the Blue), and Too Cool for School Egg Cream Mask (Firming). I can’t wait to try the Drunk Elephant products as well as the Stila Liquid Eyeshadow (that colour is soooo pretty!!).
