So I finally had a chance to peruse Fenty Beauty! But see, the way my budget is set up this month, I wasn’t able to buy anything aside from the Pro Filtr Foundation. And even that I wasn’t planning on buying but I happened to pass by another Sephora the same day I went to check the line out that and they only had ONE foundation left in stock that seemed like my shade. See what scarcity does? lol Luckily though I had a gift card that helped cover a majority of the foundation purchase.
So much of this stuff is pretty late in the game but 1. It was summer (ok technically it’s STILL summer) and I allow myself some leisure in the summer 2. I was out of town for my birthday and 3. I do reviews differently now which sometimes means it might take me a little longer to do them. But hey, we’re here now! Make sure you’re also subscribed to the blog so you don’t miss any other updates.
TSABD Edit: NEW DARKER Shades of Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless & Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder w/ Demo
So I’ve already reviewed the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation so if you’re looking for my thoughts on that, make sure you check out this post and this post where I swatched more of the darker shades. Today I’m just going over the new deeper shades the brand recently launched in the formula.
NARS finally has a foundation stick! I remember my first ever NARS purchase (which was also my first ever Sephora purchase) back around 2001. I waltzed into what was then a brand new Sephora (and only like the second store to open in the U.S. at the time) at Roosevelt Field mall during one of the blocks of my school day where I didn’t have class (I attended nearby Hofstra University). My purchase consisted of Outlaw blush and an eyeshadow duo that has since been discontinued. After that I had been a huge fan of the brand accumulating almost every blush shade that flattered my skin tone (and some for my kit back when I was a makeup artist), a ton of eyeshadow duos, Multiples, lip colors, and more. Through blogging I’ve tested a number of NARS foundations and it was so amazing to hear the brand finally has a foundation stick. But of course this is NARS so it’s not simply a foundation stick, but the NARS Velvet Matte Foundation Stick.
Hey folks, what's happening? How's your summer been going? I typically use the summer to lean back and not post as much as I typically do throughout the year—you know, try to use the time to go out and relax as well as get a ton of business-related work done. Coming up I have my beauty event at Space NK this Saturday (woo hoo!) and then next week is my birthday and I'm heading to Miami with my homey Trina from The Baby Shopaholic. I envision a ton of grownup shenanigans going down and I'll have a recap so stay tuned…lol.
TSABD Edit is normally reserved for Tuesdays, but like I’ve mentioned in a few previous Edits, it’s summer so I’ve been leanT back when it comes to content AND I’ve also gotten quite an influx of products in that I didn’t want to wait a week in between to post, so here we are. I’m going to post another one tomorrow so stay tuned…lol.
