I went to check out the MAC Fabulous Felines collection early this past Saturday. The collection is in three parts: Burmese Beauty (netural–some shades can work on warm or cool undertones), Palace Pedigreed (cooler undertones), and Leopard Luxe (warmer undertones). When I first saw images of the collection, I nearly fainted. I wanted almost EVERYTHING. When I went to see it in person? Not so much.

The collection is pretty cool, don’t get me wrong, but in order for me to part ways with my cash I need things that are unique to my kit and my personal stash. I didn’t see anything that fit this criteria in this collection. However if you’re new to MAC or new to makeup, you’ll benefit from one of the palettes and one of the Superslick Liquid Eye Liners. I swatched the Superslick Liquid Eye Liners on my hand around 1:30 PM when I got to the Pro store and by 10 PM (after a full day of walking the city and shopping) the swatches were still on my hand! I had to use a ton of soap and water and push it off. I didn’t get any of the liners because they reminded me of the Urban Decay Liquid Liner I have. And if I’m going to be a responsible adult, I need to quit making unnecessary purchases…lol.

I did contemplate purchasing Bloodline Pigment, Cunning Lipstick, and Lap of Luxury Lipglass but decided that I already own pigments I don’t use and have my fair share of burgundy/berry lip color. Thank goodness because I’m hoarding my cash for the MAC Venomous Villians collection due out September 30th.

The collection officially launches this Thursday, August 26th (my birthday!) and should show up online either Monday or Tuesday.

After the popular release of the Viva Glam Gaga and Cindy Lipsticks, MAC will release a Viva Glam Gaga Lipglass and this too-cute lip makeup bag as seen in my September issue of Teen Vogue. No word yet on when these hit stores, but I’m already outside of MAC waiting for this to come out. I don’t care if I have to wait until next month, October, or November. These are MINE.

July hasn’t even seen its 20s yet, but fall items are already waiting to make their debut. YSL’s Fall Look 2010 collection is already available for purchase on YSLBeautyUS.com.

I’m definitely a sucker for some of YSL’s products and even more of a sucker for their chic gold packaging (don’t judge me…lol). I can’t wait to see some of the Rouge Volupté Perle lipsticks in person. Touche Éclat is already a staple in my makeup routine. I have one in my purse, one in my makeup bag, and one in my bathroom at home..lol.

What’s on your list?

Last night I was on the radio once again with the lovely Bag Ladies and SapphireBlu along with special guest Bobbie Thomas, Today Show Style Editor! We chatted about all things beauty, and if you missed it, check it out online via Bag Ladies Radio.

But the biggest thing I’m super giddy about is a HOT nail trend that Bobbie dished about: Rococo Gold Leaf Laquer! Bobbie said the super chic polish with gold flecks can be brushed on top of any polish color for a stylish update that won’t break the bank.
