One of the many cool things about being a beauty blogger is that you’re constantly on the pulse of what’s new in beauty, sometimes even in advance of it being made known to the public. You’ve seen it in those PR unboxing videos—some of the things we bloggers are sent are pretty cool. But sometimes (for me at least) there’s an influx of product and even though sometimes I really want to, I can’t get to everything. Or sometimes I already have the product.
So this is a bit of a different kind of TSABD Edit. Normally I’d review a bunch of products that just came in, show you swatches, do a video demo, etc. This time around I’m talking about a bunch of beauty products I’ve finished. Now I’m testing this out—I’m not sure how effective a post of this nature would be (you’ll have to tell me if it helps you or not—be honest). Just because I didn’t finish a product doesn’t mean it’s not a good product. I am a recovering beauty junkie so I would buy a LOT of stuff because I lacked self-control (haha) and I also get a ton of product in from brands so there are products that are amazing but that I don’t get around to finishing because either it’s not something I need to use daily or because I have a gazillion others like it.
So as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I’m trying to dabble into the minimalist life which is really hilarious because I’m someone who lived a life of having many things especially when it came to clothes, makeup, and especially skincare. But I’m getting there and making strides. You should see what my bedroom now looks like compared to what it looked like before. Man, oh man.
It’s that time of year! Whether you’ll be hitting the holiday parties night after night OR hitting the couch to watch Home Alone for an unprecedented amount of times, one thing you need to be doing is keeping that skin together, honey. I stress the importance of skincare all year-round, but you have to think of the things you do all other times of year as prepping for the Olympics that is winter. Winter can be HARD on the skin already, but when you add all the extra cocktails and late night fetes—it can make your skin dry, look lackluster, and can even lead to breakouts. Yikes.
