There’s no need to buy a ton of new clothes for the spring/summer season. You can simply upgrade your faithful standbys with some fun new accessories. I used to be of the “let me run to the mall and spend like $500+ on new clothes for the season” school of fashion, but those days are long and gone…lol. I’m over here watching what I’m eating so I can shed the pounds I gained because I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO BUY NEW SPRING CLOTHES…lol. OK—I’ll buy a *few* things, but they will be VERY strategic purchases. But you can make what you have work over and over and OVER again with key accessories. Here are a few to check for this spring/summer.
I got this feather belt on super sale at BCBG a few years ago. I didn’t have an immediate need for it when I bought it, but I KNEW it would be put to great use in my wardrobe. One thing I will always keep buying even as my spending on clothing slowly decreases (well, compared to how I used to spend) are statement accessories.
I LOVE New Year’s Eve fashion. LOVE. You get all extra glitzy and glamorous to ring in the new year in your best party gear. While I love party gear, I’m also the queen of “Um, I need to be able to wear this a gazillion times” so I spotted this super cute white cut-out dress from ASOS that I knew I wanted to be able to wear beyond the stroke of midnight.
Think you have to spend a ton to make a great impression with your holiday gifts? Nah, kid. You can give some amazing gifts without having to give up on your budget and I’ll show you how. Everything in this entire post (even the grouping of gifts) are $20 or LESS. Yasssss
I swore I wasn’t going to buy anything for Black Friday or Cyber Monday—that’s because I got wind of many of the deals early on and decided I didn’t need anything. Then of course some brands were super silent about their deals and when they hit I was at my computer like this…
If you follow me on Snapchat, you’ll know I was in the holiday spirit early this year. SUPER early. In fact, I had a Christmas tree in my office with lights and everything before Halloween even hit. I’m usually not this Christmas-y so early—I typically can wait until after Thanksgiving or at least the first week in December before I start putting “All I Want for Christmas” on repeat, but 2016 has been such an overall crummy year that I needed to break out the holly and jolly early.
