Who says you need to empty your savings to look fly this summer? N-O-B-O-D-Y. With the right accessories you can update your summer look instantly and without having to refinance your home to do so. Check out some of my picks for summer accessories $20 or less.
So many amazing things happen once you hit south of 30: you start to care less and less about what other people think, your confidence levels soar, you feel more secure in your adulthood. But some other things happen that may not be so amazing: facial hair, BILLS, and ohmygoodness ACHES and PAINS. Every morning I wake up and cringe in the bed for like two minutes thinking of what’s going to ache today. Perhaps it’s just me because I also got injured in an accident in my 20s, but my goodness why must things hurt so often…lol.
There’s no need to buy a ton of new clothes for the spring/summer season. You can simply upgrade your faithful standbys with some fun new accessories. I used to be of the “let me run to the mall and spend like $500+ on new clothes for the season” school of fashion, but those days are long and gone…lol. I’m over here watching what I’m eating so I can shed the pounds I gained because I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO BUY NEW SPRING CLOTHES…lol. OK—I’ll buy a *few* things, but they will be VERY strategic purchases. But you can make what you have work over and over and OVER again with key accessories. Here are a few to check for this spring/summer.
I got this feather belt on super sale at BCBG a few years ago. I didn’t have an immediate need for it when I bought it, but I KNEW it would be put to great use in my wardrobe. One thing I will always keep buying even as my spending on clothing slowly decreases (well, compared to how I used to spend) are statement accessories.
I LOVE New Year’s Eve fashion. LOVE. You get all extra glitzy and glamorous to ring in the new year in your best party gear. While I love party gear, I’m also the queen of “Um, I need to be able to wear this a gazillion times” so I spotted this super cute white cut-out dress from ASOS that I knew I wanted to be able to wear beyond the stroke of midnight.
Think you have to spend a ton to make a great impression with your holiday gifts? Nah, kid. You can give some amazing gifts without having to give up on your budget and I’ll show you how. Everything in this entire post (even the grouping of gifts) are $20 or LESS. Yasssss
