I got this feather belt on super sale at BCBG a few years ago. I didn’t have an immediate need for it when I bought it, but I KNEW it would be put to great use in my wardrobe. One thing I will always keep buying even as my spending on clothing slowly decreases (well, compared to how I used to spend) are statement accessories.
Happy Wear to Work Wednesday, ya’ll!
One of my biggest style rules is to make sure each piece can be worn a gazillion ways with other pieces in my wardrobe. Now while I may no longer have a corporate wardrobe, I still have that love of mixing and can fondly remember how challenging it can be to dress one way for the office and a totally different way on the weekends. One of the best ways to get more mileage out of your trendier and edgier pieces is to mix them in with your work staples.
I bought this trench from Monki in Stockholm last summer during their July sale. I think I paid maybe $20-30 for it though I was originally eyeing it on ASOS for over $100 before I spotted it in Monki. I also wore it in this style post last fall. I. LOVE. THIS. TRENCH. I made a boo boo when I first got it home and burned the bottom of it when I ironed it because it was super wrinkled from being in my suitcase. I like to pretend the iron burn isn’t there so if you somehow spot it in these pics, pretend like you don’t see it, too…lol.

I used to be someone who owned 50 million bags and while I still probably own more than I need, I like to have a smaller, more carefully edited bag stash. This means that I need my bags to be of good quality, really suit my personal style, and they need to go with a majority of the clothes I have in my closet.
And for my style, I can’t just have a simple black or brown bag—I need COLOR. And yep, bold colors can very much play as “neutrals” when it comes to your bag stash. Down with this line of thinking? Keep reading to check out some bags that fit the bill.

This week’s inspo is on one of the biggest trends this season: the ruffle blouse.
This is actually a trend that we’ve seen previously that is still going strong for spring, and what’s amazing about it is that it’s a trend that can be easily taken into the office. Pieces that can make appearances in both your work life and off-duty life are ideal because you’ll be saving space in your closet and time to get dressed.
