Maybelline Fit Me’s New Shade 360 Fits Me!

You know—for years I thought it was quite odd that Maybelline’s Fit Me range didn’t have a shade to match my NW45/47 skin. I mean, other Maybelline foundations I’ve tried and loved matched me beautifully so I was all like “Yo, what’s up with that, Maybelline?” in my head for years. And then while flipping through a UK version of ELLE I spotted an ad for the Maybelline Fit Me Women of Color collection and I SWEAR during NYFW when I was backstage at Mara Hoffman I saw a Maybelline foundation that was deep enough to suit deep cocoa skinned models like Ataui Deng and Ajak Deng (or was it a mirage? lol) so I said next time I’m at a drugstore I’ll try to investigate. And I did! I only found the one 360 shade though but it was a great match for me so I gave it a whirl.

The formula (which if you’re already a Fit Me fan you’ll know already) is super lightweight yet covers well (depending on the condition of your skin, you still may need concealer). It gives you a “your skin but better” finish. It lasts long as well and blends like a dream (I use the beautyblender to apply my foundation and concealer). Hopefully the shades eventually extend beyond 360.

Here I am wearing it a few weeks ago (I tested it before I went to my two week Caribbean trip). I’m wearing Burt’s Bees gloss, Sleek MakeUP Au Naturel eyeshadow palette, Illamasqua Excite Blusher, and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Perversion. Also in pictures almost all foundations look the same on me so please go by my description above to determine how it might work for you.

Bottom line: Love the formula—if you want something to give you a natural finish that still helps even the skin, give this a try.

I love the look of this! You look so natural and fresh. Too bad all the reviews I have read tell oily girls to stay away. I still may try it though. :-)

There’s foundation you can wear depending on the season and climate where you live though. This was fine for me in February NYC weather and I have oily skin—it’s not heavy but of course since it’s nowhere near summer here and I didn’t take it with me on my Caribbean trip, I haven’t had a chance to test it in warmer temps.
