For the longest time when it came to gloss, I’d be like, “Gloss? We off that.” But many gloss launches have since have me changing my mind and the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss definitely has me back on #TeamGloss. I’m not giving up my lipsticks, but I’ll definitely be wearing more of these new glosses.

So here’s the scoop. Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss is full-on color, high-coverage, and so incredibly NOT sticky you’ll have to do a double take to make sure you’re really putting on a gloss. The brand sent over four shades (there’s 34 in total) for review consideration and I’m seriously amazed at how much color payoff each one has—even the lighter shades. I also love that you can easily blot each shade gently with your fingers to tone down the shine if you want. But thankfully it’s not super shiny out the gate.

Wear is amazing—really long-lasting even through eating and drinking. The shine wore off on me after about four hours (which included eating and drinking) but I still had color on my lips even hours after that. I want to try out more colors—I’m obsessed!

Peony: a medium warm pink
Orchid: a bold magenta pink
Papaya: a bold orange-y coral
Electro: a bold grape with bluish shimmer

(Wearing 3 drops of Cover FX Custom Cover Drops [review soon!] mixed with Murad Invisiblur + MAC #35 lashes)

Bottom line: Very full coverage and long-lasting glosses. If you want a “what you see is what you get” color from your gloss, you need at least one of these.

Price and where to buy: $16 each at Macy’s and Macys.com (plus 8% cash back when you use eBates).

Listen Danielle, I’m gonna have to read your blog once a month cuz everyday you got me buying something. I would have never looked at those colors for fear of them being too light. I just got the Revlon HD lippies and now you got me out here wanting these Anastasia Lip glosses. Damn it Gina!

Seriously, you always do good and thorough beauty reviews. Love it!

How do you feel these stack up against the Gerard Cosmetics’ Lip glosses? I just got a GC one and I LOVE it. and I just found out these came out! so many choices! the ABH is definitely a better price than GC, but was wondering what you thought when it comes to quality. thanks!

      Hey Amanda!

I haven’t tried Gerard Cosmetics so I can’t be of any help here :(

Mmmm hmmm I see I made the right choice ordering Electro this weekend. I’m not really a gloss girl but sometimes in the warmer months I’ll wear them if the color pay off if worth it.
