It’s that time of year again! So I completely missed the first go-round of the VIB Rouge early access sale (it was so close to rent being due…lol), but I’m all in for the next portion of the sale happening from November 10-15.
Also, I do not think I’ll qualify for VIB Rouge next year. The marketing tactic used with these kind of tiered “special access” memberships somewhat worked on me because now I’m kinda “sad” that I won’t qualify and will lose the special perks I got. But on the other hand, I also didn’t spend $1000 or more on beauty products at Sephora this year. I’ll still qualify for VIB though, but that downgrade though :/ lol #firstworldproblems
My budget was tighter than biscuits stuffed in a small tin can this year though. 2017 was not the year for frivolous purchases for me at all. Plus I get sent a lot of products (which funny enough didn’t stop me from qualifying for VIB Rouge before) so this year I told myself to make due with what I have. I’m also trying to veer more towards a more minimalist approach when it comes to makeup. I’ll still do my highlight & contour and wear lashes and what not, but instead of owning like 20+ eyeshadow palettes, I’d like to bring it down to hopefully just one or two. This does not mean my love for makeup has dwindled, I still LOVE it, I just don’t want so much of it stashed away in my apartment…lol. I’ll have videos about minimizing my makeup stash on my YouTube channel soon—make sure you’re subscribed so don’t miss it!
OK now let’s get to this list. I may wind up adding a few more things because I swear I made a slightly longer list earlier that I can’t find. But this list is pretty light compared to past VIB sale lists for me. I don’t even need the usual things like Clarisonic brush head replacements because the brand sent me enough to last me until next year’s sale.

This expert formula reduces the appearance of enlarged pores, helping to keep them purified, refined, and smooth. It balances oil and delivers a matte finish. Delicate exfoliation resurfaces skin and normalizes oil while Alpha Lipoic Acid improves resilience, tone, and texture. A dose of DMAE counters loss of elasticity while minimizing the appearance of enlarged pores. Salicylic acid removes dead skin cells, dirt, and oil that can clog and stretch pores. A proprietary mineral complex imparts tighter, smoother, more vibrant skin.
I’ve had some long-time favorite Perricone products over the years, and since I have a small pore issue on my cheeks by the sides of my nose I figured I’d give this a whirl. It’s pricy but I’m used to the cost of Perricone products if that makes sense (it’s funny because I’ll see something at the drugstore for $30 and will be like OMG THAT’S EXPENSIVE..lol).
It has some of my favorite Perricone ingredients in it: DMAE and Alpha Lipoic Acid. You may notice a slight fishy smell (it goes away) from some Perricone products and it’s because of the DMAE.
I think at some point my sister used this and since we haven’t lived together in years, I can’t steal some of hers…lol.

Cake and Bake is a reusable sponge that has a unique design featuring two sharp, flat-cut edges, which are perfect for full-face makeup application of concealer, foundation, or baking and setting products.
Getting this mainly because it sounds really cool and it’s limited edition so I feel like I need to hurry up and try it…lol.

This is one of my favorite nude lip glosses. It’s a good mix of both brown and pink (brownish pinks or pinky browns make amazing nudes for darker skin tones—read more in my nudes for dark skin posts here; see even more nude lip posts here). I sometimes like to add a touch of a peachy or pinky gloss in the center when I’m wearing Sepia for a pop of color and added dimension, but it looks amazing on its own.
I may pick up two of these but that really goes against my makeup buying self-imposed rules. A tube lasted me so long I may not need two. I don’t want to buy two and then find another lip color I become obsessed with and then I would have wasted my money AND space in my stash.

I’ve been using Chanel Le Coton for years and while I LOVE how plush they feel, I figured let me try something new. These get great reviews on Sephora.com so I think I’m in for something nice.

I. DO. NOT. NEED. ANY. MORE. HIGHLIGHTERS. But I ran into a reader at the post office and she had it on and I could tell immediately what it was…lol. It looked SO PRETTY that I impulsively wanted to buy it right away upon seeing it on her. I figured if I’m getting something I don’t really NEED, I might as well be getting 20% off…lol.

I’m going through my makeup stash at some point this week or weekend and may wind up adding a few more things. We’ll see. If I do, I’ll try to remember.
