YASSSSS You Can Now Get eBates on IN-STORE Purchases at Sephora!

Yesterday I was walking around Soho in that hot NYC summer sun with my sister and my niece and nephews who were in town from GA and wanted to shop in the city. When we were in Sephora, my sister pulled out her phone and opened up the eBates app so she could add the Sephora 4% cash back offer in-store. I was like WAIT, HOLD UP. I’m not new to eBates, in fact I’ve gotten back over $1800 in cash back from them since starting my account in 2013. I have the eBates web app on my browser so every time I visit a website, I automatically know if they have a cash back offer and how much. This in-store stuff?!?! MIND. BLOWN.

I just signed up—all I had to do was add a VISA or American Express card (they’re not working with Mastercard or Discover—at least they aren’t now) and then go on the dashboard and accept the in-store offers from a bunch of retailers like Sephora, Sally Beauty, Gap Factory, J. Crew Factory, and MORE. Once the offer is linked to your eBates account (you can also do this on the go in the eBates app), if you use your linked VISA or Amex, you’ll get the cash back reward. If you’re using your debit card, you want to make sure you use it as credit (signing for the purchase vs entering your PIN) to ensure you get the deal.

On an unrelated note, I also was hyped about another beauty deal I got this morning. I realized I ran out of my favorite L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer pencils in Brunette and knew some drugstore had to have a BOGO deal on them. Turns out it was Walgreens—they were about $8.50 each but they had a BOGO 50% off deal (check the Walgreens site for details). So I put 6 of them in my cart for a total of about $52. You can only get just TWO Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencils (which I also love and the L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer reminds me of) and then have like $10-12 left over. But then I saw an offer for $10 off an order of $50 if you use Masterpass (it’s a service that gives your Mastercard a unique number to use when you checkout online so no one ever has your permanent card number). So I added two MORE Brow Stylist Definers to my cart AND I had a $5 Walgreens beauty reward (I talk about how their beauty rewards work here) which brought my total down to $41 and I got free shipping. I got EIGHT Brow Pencils for the price of about two Anastasia pencils. HOLLAAAAAA

  1. This is a game changer! I knew that you could get in-store rebates from ebates but I didn’t realize that Sephora was one of those stores.
