Summer Layers That Won’t Burn You Up

I LOVE the summer. I’m an August baby and who doesn’t love when the days are longer and you don’t need to be bundled up for below freezing temps or trying to navigate around the city in a blizzard? But I have to admit summer isn’t always my favorite season for fashion until recently. I love layering and all the cool accessories that come with dressing for fall and winter, but it can get brutally hot in the summer so ain’t nobody got time for all that…lol.

Then I became obsessed with kimonos (like REALLY obsessed) and also had this really cool ruffle dress from Express that I first wore here. So I put them together and now have an easy layering look for summer that won’t make me feel like I’m about to catch on fire. YAY!

Kimono: Shein (this is from my Shein unboxing video I put up on my IGTV—check out the video for more info on ordering and such. Even though a majority of the stuff I ordered was nice, I probably won’t order from them again. I wound up having to throw out one of the ruffle shirts I got because the threading was coming SO loose after I washed it and I’m more for having items I can wear over and over and over…lol)

Dress: Express (sold out but similar here and here)

Shoes: Schutz (old)

Straw Bag: Gucci

Earrings: Forever 21
