This palette has pretty much most of the things one tends to look for in a palette: beautiful packaging, great quality shadows, portability, and it can work within many of the palettes you already own since it’s mostly a shimmery/glittery palette.

But I don’t love it. Quality-wise it’s great, but I’m not a fan of these shades in these formulas. It’s giving me daytime space galaxy vibes—which believe it or not, I’m not really into…lol. I think if these were deeper shades and had more of a balance of mattes and shimmer, I’d be more into it. I’m also not a fan of the few very warm matte shades—again, the quality is amazing, I’m not loving the colors *for me*.

You have to treat the shimmer, glitter, and pearl effect shades a little differently than you might other shadows. You may want to spritz your makeup brush with a little water or something like MAC Fix + to get it to adhere better and show up more vibrantly. Dip your brush in these and then make sure you tap off any excess to avoid fallout if you use them dry. You might also get better results using your fingers to apply some shades.

Bottom line: NARS Ignited Eyeshadow Palette is a great quality palette, but it will boil down to how much you like the colors and textures in this palette.

Price and where to buy: $59. Available November 28, 2018 EXCLUSIVELY on Sephora mobile app. Available November 29, 2018 on Sephora.com, in NARS Boutiques and on narscosmetics.com.
