NYX Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil just hit the scene and NYX sent it over for review consideration. The new eyebrow pomade pencil was created to give that bushy, fluffy brow look. Touted as the “first ever brow pomade pencil to serve you a natural, bushy brow that you didn’t need to be born with,” it comes in 8 matte shades and features a micro paddle brush and a tear-drop pomade bullet.
Now I’ve tried brow pencils in the form of the pomade pencil here in the past and have loved them—Tom Ford and Hourglass make a version that I like, but if I have since grown to appreciate a thinner brow pencil via L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer (an amazing dupe for Anastasia Brow Wiz) as it allows me more precise control.
My natural brows aren’t the thickest on the block, but I still have a lot of hair to work with. I only need to fill in some sparse areas, but definitely wouldn’t do a full face of makeup without doing my brows.
I really liked the micro paddle brush on the NYX Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil although I’ve been using spoolies for yeaaaaars. I liked the pomade side, but definitely prefer a thinner brow product for *my* brows. If you have thinner brows and looking to construct a thicker brow, this might be more up your alley. But now I want a brow pencil like the L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer that I love, but with a paddle brush like the NYX Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil.

When it comes to the shade range, when you get to the darker colors, the nuances in the colors can seem very slight (especially in the swatch pics) so you might have more than one shade that looks good on you. I liked both Brunette and Chocolate on me—there’s like a hairs difference in color between the two.
