Repeat Clothing Offender

Are there REALLY people out there who won’t re-wear something because they posted it online? Like seriously out here buying new clothes for events, vacations, etc. because they don’t want to be seen in the same things again? If you’re someone who is like this, yo lemme hold $473.46 right quick because you clearly have discretionary income that you like to blow fast. WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE? I’m not judging, just really fascinated.

I do not have the budget, space, or patience to buy new clothes every time I have to go somewhere. I also do not care if I post photos of myself wearing something over and over. I LOVE clothes (and shoes, and accessories, and bags, and makeup…lol) but I also don’t love owning a bunch of stuff. I did that before and it only caused me to buy even more stuff because I couldn’t see what I had. So I make sure I’m strict with new purchases and only keep things that I LOVE and that can be worn over and over with other pieces in my closet. Mama ain’t going to be buying disposable outfits for the gram. NOT TUH-DAY, ma’am. Not to mention what buying a bunch of clothes over and over can do to the environment—there are documentaries out about how the fast fashion industry is harming the landfills. Not ALL the clothes we buy and wear can be donated and then they wind up being more trouble than they’re worth.

That said, I love this polka dot cropped blouse I got from ASOS last year. I got it on sale at the time, too. It pairs really nicely with A-line skirts that sit higher on the waist which is how I’m wearing it now and how I wore it for some outfit photos I did last year. Plus being a black and white polka dot print, it pairs with so many other prints. BTW, have you watched my How to Mix Prints video on my Youtube channel? It breaks down easy ways to mix prints for the beginner, intermediate, and professional levels.

Do you avoid being a repeat outfit offender? Tell me in the comments!
