Look, I’m amazed at how I’m still here for summer (and to all those saying summer is over, YOU’RE WRONG…lol. The autumnal equinox doesn’t hit until September 23rd). Typically somewhere around like August 27th (the day after my birthday…lol) I’m SEVERELY over wearing summer clothes and can’t wait to start dipping into over the knee boots and outerwear. But this summer? I DON’T WANT IT TO END!
It’s just that this summer was SO GOOD. I had a mantra of “if I get asked out, I’m going” (you know, instead of the trying-to-find-reasons-to-stay-home thing) and I enjoyed every minute of it. I was OUT in these streets (wrote about it here if you want a recap).
So what’s going to be my fall mantra because I’m already wanting to take a nap just thinking about how much shorter the hours of daylight are going to get. I actually need some downtime before I head off to Paris in two weeks. I have been steady ordering clothes for the new season online and that has me amped, but what’s going to be my social mantra? I do want to do more creative content with this blog, my Youtube channel, and my Instagram. I also need to do some heavy duty cleaning and home improvement. But that’s not really social…lol. I want to take a mini hiatus on dating—well, not that I want to, I am…lol. I’m going to wait for when the new men drop because this current collection isn’t speaking to me.
So I don’t know—I do know I want to wear cute clothes and do nice things with my hair and makeup, but what’s my social calendar going to be talmbout? Ahhh, we’ll see, I guess…lol. I have Paris soon and then Ghana in December with a strong possible on a trip to Haiti. (fingers crossed TIGHT on Haiti because I REALLY want to go)
On my shopping agenda aside from stalking the ASOS, Zara, and Topshop apps to see if any new merchandise is my style, I want a BOMB pair of over the knee boots, a new statement coat or two, and I want even MORE color and fun accessories in my wardrobe.
So yeah, FLY GIRL FALL even though I still haven’t figured out what that means for me yet…lol. To be continued.
