Choosing Your Clarisonic Cleansing System and the New Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head

I often get emails from you guys asking me about the different Clarisonic Skincare Cleansing Systems and to be honest other than the Plus which was given to me last year for review consideration, I didn’t really know a lot about Clarisonic. But the other day I go to go to a really in-depth presentation that Clarisonic had for members of the press and I now feel very confident in making recommendations based on the extra information I learned.

Just as we all have different skin types, the Clarisonic brush heads come in different types. So first let’s talk about the brush heads:

The Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head is brand-spanking new. It has a patent pending dual-action design that is ideal for oily skin, large pores and effectively cleansing hard-to-reach or uneven areas of the face. It works on all Clarisonic Cleansing Systems so whether you have a Plus, Mia, or Classic you can buy the Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head and it will work on your machine.

The Normal Brush Head is the one I use. Clarisonic says it’s perfect for normal skin, shaving prep, and for use on the décolleté and body.

The Sensitive Brush Head is said to be a great starting point for sensitive to normal skin types and works with all Clarisonic models. It also comes standard in most Clarisonic Cleansing Systems.

The Deliciate Brush Head is an ultra-soft brush for those with delicate or extra-sensitive skin that also works with all Clarisonic models.

The Body Brush Head is great for cleansing areas of the body needing extra care and attention, including the décolleté, hands, arms, elbows and feet. This works only with Clarisonic PLUS model and we learned it’s also good to use to prep the skin before self-tanning.

To fully take advantage of the benefits of the Clarisonic, you want to make sure you keep whichever brush head you choose by cleansing it with antibacterial soap and water and replacing the brush head every 3 months. If you have skin that reacts to the elements like mine, you can even have a brush head for each season. They cost $25 each, but when you make your initial Clarisonic Cleansing System purchase, a brush will be included (and in the case of the PLUS you get both the Normal and the Body brush heads).

So now what are these Clarisonic models we keep talking about? Let’s talk about those…

The Clarisonic Classic uses Clarisonic’s patented sonic technology and works within the natural elasticity of the skin. The cleansing system oscillates back and forth at a sonic frequency that produces over 300 movements per second to gently
loosen dirt and oil. But even as fast as that sounds it’s totally gentle on the skin. Using Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing Systems gets your skin 6 times cleaner than using your hands alone. This makes your skin care products absorb much better which is one of the reasons why people with different skin issues like rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture find an improvement in the skin after using the Clarisonic over time.

Clinical results have shown reduced appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles, oily areas dry skin patches and blemishes and improved skin tone.

What’s also good is even though the Classic will come with Clarisonic’s own skincare products, the system is designed to work with all your favorite products in your skincare regimen. You won’t need to totally change your entire routine when using the Clarisonic.

Clarisonic Mia™ Sonic Skin Cleansing System provides all the same benefits as the Classic that I pointed out above but comes in a smaller body. It’s great for travel or if you want to save a few bucks for your intro into the Clarisonic world. It comes in a variety of colors and patterns to suit your lifestyle.

Clarisonic PLUS Sonic Skin Cleansing System also provides all of the same benefits as the Classic BUT is the only system that is compatible with the Body Brush Head.

And for the sensitive eye area there’s the Opal Sonic Infusion System is a palm-sized device that gently uses a micro-massage action to infuse Anti-Aging Sea Serum into skin more effectively than using your finger alone—instantly hydrating skin, noticeably firming it in four weeks and visibly reducing fine lines and puffiness in eight weeks.

I’m trying out the Opal right now to help reduce the bags in my under eye area.

So now having this information and seeing firsthand why the Clarisonic Cleansing System is great, I can definitely say it is a worthwhile investment. Right now you can get Clarisonic products in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore and Japan. I absolutely love my clarisonics. I have a Plus & Mia. They were totally worth it. I usually bet the replacement heads on ebay for $10-15 with free shipping.

I totally agree, Shamica! I haven’t used mine in about a month and a half and notice the difference in my skin. I need to power mine up again…lol
