Long Overdue: Urban Decay Naked 2 vs Naked 3

Read ALL about my review process including how I take swatches, photos, and more here.

I’ve been meaning to do side by side comparisons of Urban Decay Naked 2 and 3 since I bought my Naked 3 palette back in December, but I was out of town and didn’t have my Naked 2 with me. I did remember them being quite different and knew I was justified in my purchase of the 3 (rosy toned neutrals) because it was different enough from 2 (cool toned neutrals). I don’t own Naked 1 (warm toned neutrals) because the shades were mostly too warm for me that I felt I didn’t need. I still don’t need it…lol. But anyway, I finally had a chance to photograph both for those of you who might still be wondering if you need to get the 3. Check it out…

You can see my review of Naked 3 here.

Naked 2 & Naked 3 Side-by-Side

Bottom line: I’ve always been a fan of Urban Decay eyeshadows (so pigmented and soft) and of course love both palettes and find them different enough to own both. You can get a huge number of daytime and evening looks from each, too.

Thanks for sharing the swatches. I love my Naked2, but never compared it to the 3. I love neutral shadows so I will be getting the 3.

yes, girl!!! And then when I went to take another pic of the palette, the little tray came out and COMPLETELY busted my Busted…lmaoooo. But thankfully I was able to salvage some of it so I pulverized it, added a few drops of rubbing alcohol and let it dry…lol. Almost as good as new.

LMBO to the “busted” comment, hilarious! i don’t own naked2 but i do have naked3 and i love it, i didn’t think the pink undertones would work for me but after seeing it in person and trying it on, love at first sight.
