My Mini Photo Diary (& Hairstyles) from My Time Out in LA!

I seriously LOVE LA. The scenery, the restaurants, the shopping, the people-watching, the traffic—oh wait—ok so I don’t love the traffic but I seriously love visiting LA and recently headed out to the west coast with Motions Hair for the Think Like a Man Too premiere. Motions is the Official U.S. Hair Care Product Partner of the film and invited me to cover the Gold Carpet where I got to chat up tons of our fave celebs—-which I’ll give you the entire scoop about soon :)

But while in LA I had to do the fashion blogger thing and photo document everything…lol. I stayed at the Mondrian on Sunset in West Hollywood and it’s SUCH a gorgeous hotel. I mean hardwood floors? A gorgeous background for my shoes and accessories? A full length mirror that doubles as a TV? Um, what’s not to love?

Then I hit some of my favorite spots in the city along with photographer Sylvia Gunde. We hit the iconic In-N-Out Burger (haha—but it’s SO good and I’m always contemplating smuggling some back home with me every time I’m in LA), breezed through Sunset, Melrose, Robertson, and Hollywood and I just had to get some shots by the infamous pink wall at the Paul Smith store in Weho. I mean—a pink wall? Of COURSE I’m posing for pics…lol.

The weather in LA can look like it’s really warm out but at times it can be much cooler so I wore an ASOS top with chiffon paneling (sold out but Curve version here) and leather shorts (they’re not heavy nor as hot as you might think…lol) and I got these caged booties at DSW on Hollywood. I find that mixing textures in an all-black outfit gives it more character and then I topped it off with my Celine shadow shades and an earring cuff I got at Aldo in Hollywood. My lip is a mix of Iman Luxury Moisturizing Lipstick in Taboo, Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color in Violet Addict, and NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Train Bleu.

And as you can see my hair is different again…lol. Before I left NYC I got it cut some more (#fearless style) and blown out using the Motions Straight Finish Heat Styled system. Um, can we talk about how amazing it is—I got my hair done last Tuesday with the Heat Styled system—it rained cats and dogs that day and then for the rest of the week it was pretty hot and yet no reversion. I mean look at these pics which show my hair the day it was done and then my hair on Sunday/Monday. Some of my hair on the shorter side reverted a bit (the really short parts in the tapered side) but other than that my hair stayed straight which never happens for me for so long.
