Anastasia Liquid Lipstick in Vamp + Potion [Swatches on Dark Skin]

anastasia

So this is a quick swatch post since I already reviewed a few other Anastasia Liquid Lipstick shades. I recently bought Vamp and Potion because they seemed kinda cool but now that I have them I’m kinda like, womp womp…lol.

Vamp is a deep brownish red while Potion is a deep blackened purple. Both pretty shades but not ones I’d personally reach for very often. Potion has the tendency to be a little streaky once it dries so be careful to make sure you cover well and use a lip pencil in a similar color so no flashes of your natural lip color shine through.

I wish Potion applied a little better. I can kinda see the streakiness you’re referring to in your swatch. It’s still a beautiful shade though! I really like how it looks on you

I think you mean “Potion,” as there’s no “Poison” in the line-up. You had me confused ‘cos I have it in my cart on the website and was literally about to check out so I was like, “Did I select the wrong thing?”…lol!

Anyway, THANK YOU for reading my thoughts (lol) and swatching these babies today. I was so sure Potion and I were meant to be but now that I see your swatch, I’m over it. It’s a gorgeous colour and it complements your skintone beautifully but I’m not paying $20 for that kind of streakiness, especially when I have several lip colours in my arsenal that are similar to it. So you dashed my hopes but now…on to the next!

These colors are really pretty on you, too bad the application isn’t the best.
