If I had a dollar for every time I said I don’t need any more eyeshadow palettes only to turn around and be turned out by yet another eyeshadow palette, I’d be able to buy a small island where I’d move to if the election goes south come November. The latest palette to turn me out: LORAC Mega Pro Palette 3. It was sent to me by LORAC for review consideration.

So this palette is part of the LORAC Rosé & Revelry collection launching October 2nd at ULTA and Kohl’s, Oct. 5th at LORAC, and all retailers on Oct. 7th. And as you might have guessed by the rosé part (ugh, now I want a glass of rosé) the palette has a rose gold theme and it’s EVERYTHING. Well, it’s everything assuming you like rose gold-y shades…lol.

Like I do with all shadows I test, I tested LORAC Mega Pro Palette 3 without primer. I put it on in the morning, headed to two press appointments in the city, walked around Manhattan (and it was unexpectedly hot out), and then got home seven hours later and my shadow was still looking just about the same as it did when I put it on. And even after more than 12 hours of wear without a primer, I had pretty minor fading. But like I always say, make sure you use a primer or base underneath your shadows to ensure all-day wear without creasing or fading.

Sometimes with eyeshadow palettes that have so many shadows (this one has 32) you might have a section that doesn’t work out so well or that you don’t use at all. I’d have to say the shadows in LORAC Mega Pro Palette 3 are all pretty versatile on a wide range of skin tones. There are some very light nudes that those of us with darker skin tones might not typically gravitate towards, but these are awesome “base” shades—meaning you put these on first (after primer) and then whatever color you put on top of it intensifies. Even if you want to wear them as part of a look without putting another shade over it, they’re very pigmented and will show up well, too.

Bottom line: LORAC Mega Pro Palette 3 is an amazing palette, great performance, great value, great shade selection. If you’re into these sort of colors and you’re looking to add more shadows to your stash, look into this one.

I love the look of this palette, I just wish it were available from more places other than just Ulta!
