Wear this to Work Tomorrow: The Holiday Office Party Edition (3 Looks)

holiday office party outfit

Listen, the holiday office party is NOT the time to turn up. NOT. THE. TIME. I’m telling you do NOT go into that holiday office party acting the fool. It may be about seven years since I last worked in the corporate world, but things haven’t changed much when it comes to holiday office party etiquette and decorum. BEHAVE YOURSELF. Even if you see your boss acting a plum fool, which I used to see ALL. THE. TIME. back in my day but remember, we can’t do what they do.

Watch for my tips on how to behave at the holiday office party:

Same goes for your holiday office party attire: yeah, I know that backless sequin mini dress you saw at Missguided is fly AF but for your holiday office party? Nah. Unless you work in a VERY creative industry—like certain fields within fashion or entertainment, you want to err on the side of caution. Now this doesn’t mean you can’t show out and have fun with your outfit–this is a great time to be festive and dress up. One quick rule of thumb is to mirror your typical work dress code but up the ante with the fabrics: sequins, velvet, jacquard, embellishments, etc. Of course you also want to dress for the occasion: “black tie” means black tie. But you also don’t want to show up at your work shindig at the local pizzeria in a ball gown…lol.
