Quick Review: Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser (Remove Makeup with *JUST* This?!?!)

Read ALL about my review process including how I take swatches, photos, and more here.

I recently received Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser in a PR mailing. It’s a gentle, pore-refining cleanser packed with antioxidant-rich blueberries, hyaluronic acid, and AHAs that works for all skin types. What struck my eye is that it can be used as a cleanser, makeup remover, and a mask.

Oh, is that so, huh?

So I’ve been testing this out over the course of about two weeks or so, and I am THOROUGHLY amazed at how amazing it works to remove makeup. I typically use a cleansing oil to massage my makeup off including mascara and liquid lipstick, and then follow with a gel based cleanser (aka the process known as double cleansing or multi-cleansing). But I LOVE that I can do all of that with this one product. After I do the first cleanse to remove my makeup, I do go in and use a little more of the cleanser to cleanse again (I tend to wear a lot of makeup when I actually do wear makeup…lol). Either way I choose to cleanse, if I’m wearing makeup I may also use a Shiseido Cotton Pad dabbed in some Olay Luminous Micellar Water to make sure I don’t have any makeup trapped around my hairline (this is especially great to do when I don’t want to be splashing water near laidT edges).

I’ve been on a gloss kick for quite some so I haven’t worn liquid lipstick regularly in a while, but for testing purposes, I did put on one of the NARS Powermattes and it came off after a couple of goes, but in my experience the boscia MakeUP BreakUP Cleansing Oil does a better job of removing liquid lipstick.

I also love it as a regular cleanser. I tried it as a mask and liked the glow it left me, but it did tingle a bit while I had it on. I probably wouldn’t use it as a mask much, but as a makeup removing cleanser? Yes, ma’am! I do think I would use my Murad Resurgence Cleanser more often as my main cleanser, but on the days where I wear makeup, I’d use Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser. I also JUST bought a new bottle of my fave cleansing oil during Sephora VIB (boscia MakeUP BreakUP Cleansing Oil) and I might be out of the time period to return it soon, but I’m going to keep it since I got it at a discount and it lasts forever…lol. Plus I’d have to see how well the Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser works for me when mean old NYC winter comes. I already know the boscia + Murad work for me all year-round.

Your reviews are so thorough. I never have any questions that aren’t answered. I think I will stick with the Boscia/Neutrogena combo. Love micellar water (Sephora brand is bomb) for traces of make-up.
