Tom Ford Beauty Swatches and Quick Product Overview

**UPDATE: See reviews of some Tom Ford Beauty products here.**

The Style and Beauty Doctor reader Pauline sent an email the other day that reminded me that I completely forgot to check out the rest of the Tom Ford Beauty line. After the initial launch when I bought the Traceless Foundation Stick (and got it signed by TF himself!), I said I’d go back to check everything else out but things got a little hectic here on my end and…well, they say the mind is the first thing to go when you age. smh

So last Friday, I hit Bergdorf Goodman and (with permission of course) got pics and swatches of the makeup line at the counter. All for you guys (ain’t I sweeeet? lol).

Anyway, this is just a quick overview as the only product from Tom Ford I have tested is the Traceless Foundation Stick. When I can get my hands on more product, I’ll of course update with review posts. Deal? DEAL.

One thing to be noted about this line (which I got a grand tour of by the most wonderful makeup artist at Bergdorf who looked just like Stanley Tucci) is that the texture of the makeup is sensuous–much like Tom Ford’s designs. Rub a fluffy makeup brush against your skin and it’s as if TF hands grazed yours or sweep your fingers over a blush or eyeshadow and it’s like silk.

While I again haven’t had a chance to test anything out, my personal must-haves are Noir Absolute For Eyes ($35–a dark blue-black with shimmer creme liner that can also be used as an eyeshadow or shadow base), Eye Defining Pencil in Metallic Moss ($35–a creamy emerald green pencil liner with shimmer), Eye Color Quad in Cobalt Rush ($75–a series of jewel tone colors), Eye Color Quad in Crushed Amethyst ($75–a series of purples), Lip Color in Black Orchid ($48–a deep black-berry creamy with shine finish lipstick), and Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Wet Violet ($45–a bold purple lip gloss with shimmer). I also saw tons of nudes in the Lip Color range that would be great for everyone from fair to medium to dark skin.

Anyway, onto the pics! Keep in mind these are the testers at the counter so many of them have been loved by hoards of women swiping them with their fingers. Also lighting wasn’t always on my side with some items on display, but the swatches are pretty spot-on since I was able to move around for the best lighting.

Yeah, so I pretty much was a pic taking and swatching fool…lol.

What a way to start a monday morning! Now I have to go to bergdorf’s after work. Flush and savage blushes must be mine. And probably wet violet lip gloss. Awesome swatches, thank you :)

You’re welcome! Everyone at the counter when I went to get the swatches was SO sweet and helpful, but definitely try to go to either the guy who looks like Stanley Tucci, the tall woman with the short hair and accent, or Keisha (sorry couldn’t remember the first two names) when you go…lol.

I was talked into buying the Violet Fatale lipstick last week when I went for nail polish and it is amazing. Went back yesterday for Smoke Red and Crimson Noir yesterday.

I’m in love with his entire beauty line and everyone at the counter was so sweet!
