SO Happy I Bought This Cape + Shop Capes Under $200 #OutfitsInOctober

I love when I make a purchase and then a couple of years later I’m STILL ecstatic about it. Now THAT is the type of purchase I need to be making more often when it comes to my wardrobe. In fact, honestly this whole outfit is filled with almost distant past purchases that I’m super glad I made.

So you may remember the navy crop top and navy trumpet skirt I’m wearing underneath this cape from the outfit I wore to a pop-up event I had with Felicia and Christene for Face Flawless Skin. When I tell you that $20 J. Crew skirt has some miles on her—best skirt purchase almost ever for me. I love that it’s also a teeny bit too big in the waist for me because that makes it flexible if you know what I mean…lol. And although it took me FOREVER to loosen up the strings on these JustFab boots (I only needed to do it the first time, but man did it take forever) I’m happy I got them, too. I like a statement shoe, but I don’t want that mess to show up on my credit card statement…lol. Especially not for a statement shoe I’m not going to wear all the time. The $40 price tag on them was PERFECT. I’ll save my coin for the perfect super stylish, classic, and comfortable flat moto booties I have in my head that no one makes (actually, Balenciaga makes something similar but I’d need something like that to wind up in a Century 21 or something…lol).

I’ve worn this cape on the blog before two years ago. When I initially bought it I thought I was being my sometimes extra self because this isn’t really the sort of outerwear you can get a ton of wears out of in a single season. It takes FOREVER to cool down and then when it does cool down it can’t get TOO cool because then you can’t wear it anymore. But I’ve been rocking with it for two years now so she’s not going anywhere.

My original cape is no longer available, but this one looks very similar if you want to grab it for $121. I was thisclose to getting it as well because I LOVE chocolate brown but I had to hit my chill button :/

I dunno, I still may get it…lol. I do need to hurry up and decide because ASOS stuff can sometimes sell out fast.
