Holiday Outfit Idea: The Sexy Cut-Out LBD + Faux Fur

I LOVE dresses with cut-outs. LOVE them. They’re so sexy without being overly so. BUT—more often than I care for, the cut-outs are in places that require me to wear special bras (and while strapless and multi-wear bras come in my 38DDD bra size, I HATE wearing them with a passion…lol) OR the cut-outs don’t allow me to wear certain undergarments to give me a smooth and sleek silhouette. So I pass tons of cut-out dresses up because I just can’t be bothered. Don’t cry for me, I find so many other cute looks to wear so no crying over spilled milk over having one less cut-out dress in my closet. Then I came across THIS dress.

What made this dress work is that the cut-outs are placed where I can wear a regular bra (yasssss) AND the dress has ruching around the midsection which makes it forgiving for days when I’m a little bloated. Not to mention this dress can be styled a gazillion different ways AND was under $40. Man, I might just have to start singing outchea.

I forgot to get pics of just the dress (it happens when you’re outside having your picture taken and the WHOLE neighborhood is watching—you can get sidetracked). If you follow me on Snapchat, you’ve already seen video of me in the dress. But stay tuned to my Youtube channel—more fashion styling and wardrobe hack videos are coming soon!

Outfit Details:

Jacket: H&M (old, get a similar one here, here, a similar one in Plus here)
Dress: ASOS—it’s just $38! (get it in Petite here; not the same style at all, but this is a sexy LBD that comes in Plus. Here’s another more revealing style that also features the ruching near the midsection)
Shoes: Boohoo via ASOS (similar here and here)
Headband: Dollar Tree

Hair: Texturized Relaxed Straight from Temple Hair at Hairstyling by Joseph (the largest Black family-owned salon in the U.S.). My hair was installed, cut, and custom colored by Gabrielle Corney. You can see my previous review for this texture here. This time around I have some leave out in the front. I think my longest layer is 24″ followed by 20″ and then maybe an 18″ but I had the front cut to frame my face a week after I got it installed.
