The New LA Girl Beauty Brick Blush Collection? Pretty AMAZE.

Look, I’m quite passionate about blush. I swear I start conversations with new people like “Hey, nice to meet you—do you like blush?” OK—maybe not that passionate but I do try to persuade more people to wear the stuff. It does wonders for brightening your face, adding dimension, and making you look like you slept for HOURS on end. Anytime new blush comes out, I’m looking for it in the daytime with a flashlight (like that line one time in that Usher song). The new LA Girl Beauty Brick Blush Collection? OMG—amazing.

So the second I heard these came out, my thirsty behind bought all four shades…lol. I couldn’t decide which colors to get and they were only $9 each.

Each Beauty Brick comes with four shades: two blushes, a bronzer, and a highlighter. I love this because you can use the bronzer to warm the perimeter of the face, the blush for a pop of color and the highlighter to put on top of your cheekbones, along the temples, on your decolletage, etc. It’s genius really.

(If your skin is darker than the deeper bronzers, you can put the bronzer on your cheeks and then put blush on top for a sunkissed glow—just note this won’t work with the lighter colored bronzers on darker skin)

Not only that they’re amazingly pigmented and last for hours. I got a full nine hours of wear and it still looked almost as good as when I put it on. Only reason why I took it off was because it was the end of the night and mama had to go to bed.

Here’s the four shades…

Glow

la girl
Contains a matte pinky coral, a carnation pink with light shimmer, a light brown bronzer (no orange cast), and a light white-silver highlighter. While the brighter blush shade semi-worked on my dark skin, this palette is best suited for those with fair to medium skin tones (like Kelly Osbourne to Sarah Jessica Parker).

Pinky

la girl
Contains a bright matte magenta pink, a medium pink with light shimmer, a medium brown bronzer (no orange cast), and a silver shimmery highlighter. I’m wearing the brighter blush shade in my Sunglasses Stash video so it works very well on dark skin. Only thing is the other three shades aren’t the best on deeper skin tones so I’d say this palette will work best for someone with medium to tan to light olive skin tones (like Kim Kardashian to Eva Mendes)

Glam

la girl
Contains a bright matte red, a matte deep pink, a deep brown bronzer (no orange cast), and a pinky gold highlighter. This palette works well on deep olive to darker skin tones (like Lakshmi Menon to around my complexion and darker). The lighter blush shade can get a little tricky on deeper skin tones so make sure you blend it out—or skip it if it looks a little ashy on.

Spice

la girl
Contains a matte burnt orange (similar to MAC Raizin), a soft matte pink, a deep brown bronze, and an icy gold highlighter. This palette will work well on all skin tones (the lighter blush shade can be a little tricky on deeper skin).

The thing with blush palettes is that there’s bound to be one shade that doesn’t work well, but I think the performance on these helps to outweigh the odd shade that doesn’t work. Plus you can blend the lighter blush shade with the brighter one to work it out if you have darker skin or vice versa if you have lighter skin.

Bottom line: I’m in love with the pigmentation and long wear on these. Amazing that they’re only $9 a piece.

Is the bronzer in the glam one darker than the one in spice?

      Hey Amerisha!

They look about the same color to me when I swatch them but in the palette the Glam looks a teeny bit darker but not by much. Hope this helps!

Hii. Just wanted to hear if you know the size of the pans?
Are they the same size as MAC blush pans?

    Thanks :)

      Hey!

I don’t know—and I no longer have them (gave them away). Maybe check their site or ask them on social media if they can tell you. Good luck!
